In our 2015 renovation of the Hotel Phillips, KKAD revitalized an Art Deco landmark in the heart of Kansas City. Our design honors the building’s 1931 heritage by restoring its decorative details in a modern color palette that leans into dark and moody hues of the Gilded Age.  Along with our branding partner (Gettys Group), our team reimagined the building program to create a new coffee shop, restaurant and basement speakeasy (P.S.) as a nod to the correspondence that marked the Golden Age of Travel under which the hotel originally thrived.
